I have been going to Teds for almost 8 years. This service center was the first time I had confidence that the technicians were looking out for my interest. They are also really flexible with their schedule. Tire changes, oil changes and regularly scheduled maintenance, I can usually count on being done within an hour. And as early as 7:30am! If you want the truth in what your car needs, these are the people to go to.
Wow, surely was in a pickle. Van stopped working 4 days after a recent repair and I was 600 miles from home. Ted squeezed me in immediately, quickly figured out what was wrong and had me up and running no time. Charged me a very reasonable fee and even had someone come pick me up. HIGHLY recommended!
I stopped by without an appointment, returned to my meeting, and the problem was fixed by the time I was done. I was expecting a $200 charge, but the total came to $35. Even the receptionist was nice and knowledgeable.
I went to Ted's Kar Kare in Waterbury,VT to get an inspection done and have a new muffler put on. The muffler job was great. I was told that I needed new front ball joints to pass inspection. Which seemed odd because they were replaced recently before. I took my truck to another dealer a few days later. They put my truck up on the lift and showed me how loose the drive shaft was. When I asked about the ball joints, I watched the guy try to shake my tires they didn't budge. Plus he pointed out they looked new. Moral of the story is that they were so busy trying to sell me something I didn't need they overlooked the loose drive shaft. Either that or they loosened it. I would like to have faith in humanity. However, I have become aware of how these people operate. This posting is true in its entirety. I have the estimate slip they gave me for the ball joints, and I still have the ball joints on my truck, if anyone would like to take a look at them.
